JEC World 2022 DAY 1: Advancements in precision TPC formatting to improve buy to fly

For 30 years, Web Industries has been the leader in the precision formatting of prepreg composites for aerospace applications. Recent formatting development efforts have focused on leveraging the unique properties of thermoplastic composites (TPC) to improve buy-to-fly ratios and enable increased throughput of manufacturing processes. This presentation discusses the technological advances behind these new TPC formatting methods as well as specific formats such as wide-width bias-ply materials, precision slit tapes, and narrow filaments for additive manufacturing.
