High-performance composite materials are essential in high technology sectors such as aerospace or automotive not only for their unique performance but also to improve sustainability during the use phase.
For further improving their environmental footprint, however, one must also take care of the manufacturing process to make sure they are efficient and environmentally friendly. Producing high-performance composites with minimum manufacturing costs & waste and high quality & volumes can be quite challenging.
The session will focus on the different opportunities to optimize production processes with a common goal of reducing waste, costs, use of materials, energy and time, thus enabling a more sustainable composites manufacturing.
