Terre de Lin @JEC World 2022's Natural Fibers Village

Tristan Mathieu presents Terre de Lin, a Normandy-based cooperative specialized in the culture and the converting of textile flax/linen from the seeds to the fiber. He brings up the many advantages  flax fibers in composites : Low density, rigidity, vibrations absorption, thermic and acoustic insulation, lower environmental footprint.
Edouard-Pascal Benois, Sales Manager of IDB Marine, takes the opportunity to explain their cooperation with Terre de Lin in building flax fiber-based ships: how the technology works, what are its main advantages and the raising interest of the customers in France and internationaly.
