For hydrogen on-board storage, Arkema is positioned as an advanced material supplier and intends to develop and produce materials for hydrogen tanks with bio-based thermoplastic composites that can drastically reduce the manufacturing time of high-pressure vessels while bringing recyclability solutions. Printed sensors array with innovative fluorinated based piezoelectric copolymer are also under development for integrated SHM in hydrogen tanks.
