JEC World 2022 DAY 1: Sustainability in the composite sector: New approaches

Over the past years, the request of sustainable items in the composite sector has grown exponentially.
In the future the challenge will be the reduction of carbon footprint for any aspect of the product (raw materials, transportation, transformation, auxiliaries etc.). The answers could be an implementation of new technologies and processes possibly combined with recycled materials, natural fibers and bio-based matrices. The above-mentioned topics together with the concept of lean manufacturing is one of the hardest challenges for the development of new products.
